Joyful Joyful

The fantastic students from Rooms 6, 7 and 8 danced to Joyful Joyful in this years Junior Prize giving.  The dance was opened up by the angel dancers then later entertained by team 2 and the cool rappers.
Well done Team 2 on an amazing performance.

Day and Night

The Room 8 kids have been working hard on their animations about day and night.  They have also been working hard on their Jackson 5 dance moves.  Please watch our cool movie all about day and night.

New Zealand's Junior Masterchef

Ball Kicking skills in Room 8

In Physical Education this term we are learning ball skills in preparation for the sport Aussie rules.  This week we focussed on ball kicking skills and we had so much fun learning about drop kicks.

Rugby World Cup 2011

Mrs Tuala and Room 8 have been waiting in anticipation for The Rugby World cup 2011. This Term our whole school topic is: Keep your eye on the ball. The beginning of the term kicked off with an amazing Immersion assembly by the teachers. Mrs Tuala is from Samoa - and she was all decked up in Samoan flag colours to celebrate and promote her country. We will be learning some amazing and exciting things this term about countries participating in the Rugby World Cup, so be sure to keep visiting our blog.

Bigger, better, stronger, faster

This term our whole school topic is called, Bigger, better, stronger, faster!. It is a technology unit and team 2 are focussing on recycling in our school. So far we have had so much fun, learning about different materials and sorting out recyclables. Keep visiting our blog to find out some of the exciting learning we'll be doing this term.

Room 8 have identified a problem in our school rubbish bins. We have found a lot of plastic recyclables been thrown into the bin instead of a recycling bin. We also visit the Visy recycling centre to find out what happens to our recyclables after it has left our school.

Earlier this term our senior school held a camp on our school field. Room 8's classroom was right next to tent city and we could smell some delicious smells.

Our Trip to Ambury Farm

On Tuesday 29th March, the team 2 classes at our school went on a trip to Ambury Farm. The weather was lovely and warm, and we had a fantastic time learning about farm animals. We had to remember to use 'The Pt England Way', like using our manners, putting our rubbish in the bin and walking sensibly around the farm. Here is a slideshow showing some of the cool things we did and saw. At the moment we are working on our recount stories of our farm trip, so watch this space. Self Portraits

In Art this term we have been focussing on Self Portraits. First we practiced many times pencil drawings of our face. Next we used a black felt to go over the outline then we coloured in our self portraits with crayon. Finally we dyed the background. We had alot of fun creating our Self Portraits.
